Akame 48 Waterfalls was an old secret ninja training ground
Akame 48 Waterfalls was an old secret ninja training ground. In fact, it still is! Once home to a number of Iga Ninja clans, the Akame 48 Waterfalls are located deep within pristine forests, with clear, flowing rivers inhabited by the rare and endangered 1.5m long giant Japanese salamanders, and offer a range of magnificent waterfalls to enjoy. A 4km hiking trail takes you along the boulder lined river past 23 waterfalls. Within the area is ninja training ground, where adults and children alike can experience ninja training. Rent a ninja costume and learn ninja intrusion, walking, climbing, concealment, and invisibility techniques, try ninja throwing stars and water walking to earn your Iga Ninja certificate!
