Shojin Unaju and Shakyo Experience at Hokoji Temple

Shojin Unaju: A vegetarian dish, made with yams and tofu to resemble Unagi no Kabayaki, or grilled eel, a local delicacy of Hamamatsu. Enjoy the same texture as real eel in a Shojin (Buddhist vegetarian) dish.
Shakyo Experience: Copying the sutras carefully, one character at a time, is an act of grace that purifies your body and mind. This is an accessible experience that even first-timers can enjoy.
