Miyagawa is the longest river in Mie Prefecture, and it has been recognized as Japan’s cleanest river on several occasions.
The river’s source is at Odaigahara, one of the rainiest regions in Japan, which is also distinguished by its untouched beauty. Its bountiful waters have carved rocky walls into the mountain’s surface, forming a gorge.
At Riverboard Okuise, you can find both peace and excitement in the summer as you let the river’s current carry you in this hard-to-reach valley.
