Ena Gorge

Enjoyable year round, the beautiful Ena Gorge is famed for its rich cherry blossoms in the spring, the lush greens of summer, the stunning fall leaves of autumn and for bird watching in the winter. Located in southern Gifu Prefecture along the historic Nakasendo highway linking Edo (Tokyo) and the ancient capital, Kyoto, the Ena Gorge lake was the result of a 1920’s hydro electric power station dam project.
