Ise lobster is one of gorgeous food items, which is indispensable for cuisine of cerebration. The lobster is large in size, a body length of 20~30 centimeters. Its plump provides sweet flavor which melts in your mouth, when served as sashimi in Japanese menu. Lobster of this kind can be captured throughout Japan, but it is said that the reason why people put the name Ise is because merchants of Ise area in feudal days, carried a great number of the lobsters to capital area. Mie prefecture identifies Ise lobster as “prefectural fish” and one of “Mie brand”. In fishing season from October to April, a good catch of the lobster is seen in different ports of Ise-Shima region. What a luxury to taste Ise lobster, which was caught in the morning, as a beautifully prepared and presented dish by chef of Japanese inn.
