Centering Shuzen-ji temple built by Kukai in 807, there remain a number of historic sites related to the Genji clan during Kamakura Period (1192-1333). There are three routes for a walk: ‘Ramble through hot spring town route’, ‘Ancient and romantic stroll route’ and ‘Nature lovers’ route through streams, mountains and villages’. With a map in hand walk and soak in hot springs, and there will be a lot of discoveries and excitement. Four seasons offer you changing colors-cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green in early summer, and colored leaves in autumn.
